R.G. (Mack) McCormick, Jr., originally joined Bleakley Bavol Denman & Grace in November of 2001. He presently brings expertise in the areas of appellate practice, general litigation, insurance defense, and workers’ compensation to the firm.

Given his specialty experience with complex research and writing, McCormick serves as the firm’s appellate counsel. In this capacity, McCormick has represented clients in all phases of civil appeals and original proceedings throughout Florida’s district courts. As a litigator, McCormick has also handled auto negligence, workers’ compensation, insurance coverage, premises liability, and commercial transaction cases.

McCormick was born in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Florida, primarily in Tampa. In 1996, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree (in music theory) from the University of Florida in Gainesville. McCormick also attended law school at the University of Florida, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1999.

McCormick is a member of the Florida Bar, Appellate Practice, Trial Lawyers, and Workers’ Compensation sections. Locally, he belongs to the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

As a choral arranger and percussionist, McCormick is an active participant in music ministry at his local congregation. He lives in Temple Terrace with his wife and three children.
