Before joining Bleakley Bavol Denman & Grace, Brian Battaglia began his legal career, where he was a shareholder, with one of the oldest and well-respected law firms in Pinellas County, Florida. Brian then established and operated his own law practice, concentrating in the areas of Employment and Labor Law, Civil and Business Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Zoning and Land Use matters, and Health Law.

Brian has litigated cases at every level of the Florida State Court system, including successfully arguing in the Florida Supreme Court. In addition, Brian has litigated cases in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and in administrative proceedings. A native Floridian from St. Petersburg, Brian received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his law degree from Drake University School of Law. In addition, Brian earned a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago.

Brian is dedicated to professionalism and excellence in providing legal services and has an "AV Preeminent" rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Brian is a past recipient of the Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida and is Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Court, County Court and Family Court Mediator. Brian is a National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) panel member for Employment and Labor Law disputes in Florida.  Brian is also a member of the Florida Bar, and admitted to practice in Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Brian and his wife Nancy have been married since 1986 and have two sons. Brian has been an active leader and board member for various public and private organizations in the Tampa Bay area. Brian currently is a board member with Personal Enrichment through Mental Health Services, Inc. (PEMHS) and Solutions for Administrative Services (SAS), and previously served as a board member with Bay Area Legal Services, Inc. and UPARC/The Arc of Tampa Bay.

Brian is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, The Tampa Culver Club and is a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow.
